A creative day out in Masham

Hello!

The weather seems to have finally come good (for now), so you may be considering taking advantage of the sun and having a day out this weekend. We have the perfect suggestion – why not visit Masham? As well as a lovely range of shops and galleries (including our own), the annual North Yorkshire Open Studios is taking place over the next two weekends, and there are 5 artists to visit in and around Masham (and more very close by), including Josie Beszant, owner of Masham Gallery,  locally based artists Ian Scott-Massie, Hester Cox and Charlotte Morrison and Paperworks curator Rosie Scott-Massie.

We are delighted to be using Artison as our venue on Saturday and Sunday 8/9 and 15/16 June. Over 100 artists are taking part in the Open Studios this year. It’s a great chance to find out how the artwork is created and meet the artists to see what inspires them (we’ll all be there on all days). They’ll be plenty of tea and coffee all day and (of course) plenty of cake too! Full details of the event are at www.nyos.org.uk.

We have the most amazing exhibition Paperworks in progress here at Masham Gallery, where you can see even more of Rosie’s work, and both Nolon Stacey and Nikki Corker will have their galleries open in Masham too. If you are making a weekend of it there’s lots more detail about what’s in and around Masham here.

So if you fancy a weekend of creativity, sunshine and most importantly, lots of cake, you can’t do better than coming to visit us!

Enjoy the sunshine x
