Here in Masham the weather has perked up just long enough for us to get excited about summer – or more specifically, our summer exhibition Take to the Skies, which opens in just over two weeks. The flight-themed show features new work by some of our favourite artists, Hester Cox, Janis Goodman, Elizabeth Price and Rosie Scott-Massie, plus exciting new work by The Gallery’s owner Josie Beszant. With two printmakers, two mixed media artists and a ceramicist contributing it’s sure to be a fantastic experience. As always, I have included some images of work featured in the show to tempt you along.
As promised, we have more new jewellery in The Gallery this month. Shere Design by Helen Shere create sweet nature – inspired jewellery from silver, brass and oxidised metals. We especially like the more romantic pieces, such as the ‘Two for Joy’ necklace, and ‘Love Birds’ ring, pictured here. Prices start from £55 for rings. Have a great June, and don’t forget to take advantage of the hot summer days, they are in limited supply!
